Our Counseling Philosophy
The Foundation of any healthy counseling situation must be built on honesty and humility with full trust in the unmovable and unshakable truth of the word of God.
The Counselors of FFC will seek to listen, learn and understand their clients as they gently lead them to examine themselves and find help and healing from the only true source of help, our Lord and Maker.
Through prayer we will petition God for wisdom and seek the work of the Holy Spirit to bring healing.
We seek to create safe spaces for the unburdening and healing of wounded hearts, leading them to cast all their cares on the one who cares for them most.
At the core of this work, we will take the time and wait patiently while those in need talk through their own experiences. History will play a significant part in understanding the healing process and is often an integral part of it. For this reason, we understand it will be important to cultivate trust with our clients.
After great care is taken to fully grasp the situation we will, as we see fit, offer some practical steps forward.
We also understand that sometimes medication may be necessary to aid and regulate mental issues which may require help beyond which FFC can be a blessing. In those cases, we will encourage those who seek our advice to seek this kind of help from medical professionals.
